Bill was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago and studied directing and screenwriting at Columbia College where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Film.

After moving to Los Angeles, Whirity began sneaking into classes at the American Film Institute. During that time he shot his unofficial “thesis film” about a boy inventor entitled “The MisInventions of Milo Weatherby” which went on to play at festivals all over the globe and won numerous awards.

Whirity recently finished post production on his ultra short horror film “Semblance” and is working on a horror feature in the same vein.
